Depart Lucknow by Kingfisher flight IT 652 (Dep. 0900 hrs / Arr. 0955 hrs)

Arrive Delhi & check-in at hotel Vikram (First Class) / YMCA (Backpack).

India's capital and a major gateway to the country, contemporary Delhi is a bustling metropolis, which successfully combines in its folds - the ancient with the modern. Amidst the fast spiraling skyscrapers the remnants of a bygone time in the form of its many monuments stand as silent reminders to the region's ancient legacy. The first impressions for any visitor traveling in from the airport are of a spacious, garden city, tree-lined with a number of beautiful parks.

Post check-in City tour of Delhi, which reflects the legacy the British left behind.
The tour to Delhi will include a visit to the Qutab Minar, the tallest stone tower in India. Qutub-ud-din Aibak started construction in 1199. Pulling down 27 Hindu and Jain temples and using their columns erected the attached Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque. Then visit Humayun's tomb, built by the widow of the second Mughal Emperor, Humayun. It is an outstanding monument in the Indo-Persian style, a precursor of the Taj Mahal. Visit to Old Delhi will include visit to the JamaMasjid and walk upto Chandni Chowk, the famous by lanes of Old Delhi and drive past Red Fort. The tour also includes a drive past with photo opportunity of the imposing India Gate, the Parliament building and the Rastrapati Bhawan, the President's residence.

Day – 02             Delhi / Agra             By Road
 

0800 hrs After breakfast depart Delhi by surface for Agra. (200 km / 4 hrs)

1400 hrs Afternoon city tour of Agra visiting the Taj Mahal . Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders of the world . It is a UNESCO world heritage site. It was built in 1630 by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his deceased wife, Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. The monument has been described as the most extravagant ever built for love, for the emperor was heart-broken when Mumtaz, to whom he had been married for 17 years, died in 1629 in childbirth soon after delivering her 14th child. Evening Visit Agra Fort – This finest example of Mughal architecture was the seat of Mughal rule and administration and the present structure owes its origins to Akbar who erected the walls and gates and the first buildings on the eastern banks of Yamuna river. Shah Jehan added the impressive quarters and the mosque while Aurangzeb added the outer ramparts. Visit its Hall of Public Audience and its Royal Pavilions.

Day – 03             Agra / Jaipur             By Road
 

After breakfast depart Agra by surface for Jaipur (235 kms / 5 hrs)

Visit Fatehpur Sikri enroute. Fatehpur Sikri was built by Emperor Akbar and served as the capital of Mughal India from 1571 to 1585 AD. The remarkably preserved sprawling fortress houses many palaces notable amongst them for their architecture are Empress Jodha bai’s palace. The tomb "Salim Chisti Ka Mazar" was built in honour of Sufi saint Salim Chishti. Earlier it was built with red sand stone but later converted into beautiful marble mausoleum. It is a UNESCO World heritage monument.

Day – 04             Jaipur          
 

Breakfast at hotel.

Morning tour of Amber Fort with Elephant ride. Amber is located at a distance of 11 kilometers from Jaipur and was the old fort of the Kachhwaha clan of Amber, which used to be the capital till it was moved to Jaipur. The walls and the ceiling of the Mahal are covered with a beautiful array of mirrors, which reflect any streak of light, so as to illuminate the entire room.

Afternoon City tour of Jaipur - Among the highlights to be seen while touring Jaipur include the City Palace, which is an overwhelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards, decorative art and carved doorways. The palace museum houses collections of rare manuscripts, armory, costumes, carpets and miniature paintings. Walk to the adjacent Jantar Mantar or Astronomical Observatory made by the Maharaja of Jaipur, built in 1726 and is one of the five such astronomical wonders built by Sawai Jai Singh and makes accurate predictions even to this day. You will also have the opportunity to wander about the local markets.

Day – 05             Jaipur / Udaipur             By Air

Depart Jaipur by Indian Airlines flight CD 7809 (Dep. 0845 hrs/Arr. 0945 hrs)

Udaipur is a city replete with beautiful lakes, marble palaces, landscaped gardens and ancient temples. The city has five magnificent palaces - City Palace, Jag Niwas, Jag Mandir, Laxmivilas and Monsoon Palace. The palaces exude with tales of heroism and valor of the Rajputs.

In the past, Udaipur was the capital of Mewar. It was founded by Sishodiya Maharana Guhil in 568 AD and the Mewar dynasty is amongst the oldest living dynasties in the world, which has ruled for 76 generations

Afternoon have a half day city tour of Udaipur visiting the City Palace. This Palace is made of granite and legend has it that in 1559 Maharana Udai Singh after getting assurance from Sage Harit that he would never be defeated by the enemies, built this palace, Lake Pichola with its surrounding havelis, ghats and temples and the pleasure garden known as the Sahelion Ki Bari or 'Garden of the Maids of Honour'.


Also visit the Jagdish Temple built way back in 1651 AD by Maharaja Jagat Singh in the Indo-Aryan style. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

Day – 06             Udaipur / Delhi             By Air
 

0830 hrs After Breakfast at hotel proceed for an excursion to Eklinji, Nathdwara & Nagda temples. Eklinji built in 734 AD is a complex of 108 temples enclosed by high walls, devoted to the Deity of the Maharanas of Mewar, while Nathdwara built in early 18th century is a simple shrine. Nagda was the first capital of Bappa rawal and has a magnificent torana exquisitely carved with graceful

Evening: Depart Udaipur for Delhi by Indian Airlines flight IC 472 (Dep.1600 hrs / Arr. 1825 hrs) & connect to International airport for onward destination.
